Knowing and utilising the pump’s Best Efficiency Point (BEP) is crucial and ideally the highest utilisation duty point should occur between 80 and 105% of the pump’s BEP, as anything outside this range can lead to increased operational and maintenance issues, increasing the cost of ownership for the end user throughout the life cycle of pumps (LCC).
